| Here are the answers to some of your most common questions. These answers are from the official rule book, so please don't email me to argue your point. We're umpires, we could argue all day! A good umpire is always reading and reviewing the rules. Remember, your are getting paid to do this. The coaches, players and the league have a certain
level of expectation from you. You cannot just go out there every night and think you are going to do your best without hard work.
Review your rules, discuss situations with other umpires. Their are a lot of bad umpires out there, don't be one of them. A nice tool that is available on the internet is umpiring blogs. We have joined several. Its a great way to socialize with other umpires, discuss rules and get advice. Take pride in your work and strive to be the best!
